Reto Reichenbach

Reto Reichenbach was born in 1974 and grew up in Gstaad, Switzerland. He was awarded the Eduard Tschumi Prize for the best graduation of the year. He continued his studies at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore  and at Yale University. His artistic activities as a soloist, chamber musician and vocal accompanist take him him to numerous European countries, as well as to the USA, Canada, China and Japan. 

Reto Reichenbach is the prizewinner of the 6th International 20th century Piano Competition in Orléans, France as well as of the International piano competition of the city of Cantú, Italy. For his artistic accomplishments he was awarded the Seepark culture prize by the Swiss Bank Corporation and the “Outstanding Young Person Award” by the Swiss Junior Chamber of Commerce. Scholarship awards by the Stanley Johnson, Kiefer-Hablitzel, Ernst Göhner and Josef Pembaur foundations have furthered his career. 

A solo CD with spiritual works by Mendelssohn, Bach-Busoni, Liszt and Messiaen was released by the Swiss label VDE Gallo in 2010.
